Microsoft's Bing takes another swing at rival Google. Microsoft has added real-time data to its Bing search engine, including tweets from Twitter.Bing will be picking up tweets from only the most prominent Twitterers. Sean Suchter, general manager for Microsoft’s Search Technology Centre, said in a blog post that they picked a few thousand users to start with, based on their follower count and tweet volume. He said: “We think this is an interesting first step towards using Twitter’s API to surface tweets in people search.”
This number is expected to rise depending on the success of the service, which is currently only available to those making searches on the US site, and requires users to enter the word Twitter after their search.
