IT services provider Wipro is the latest Indian outsourcing companies financial record post. The company announced profits of $288 m (£ 183 m) for its fiscal quarter to September, a growth of 10%. During this time, Wipro increases the number of employees from 2,975 to 115,900.
Azim Premji, Chairman of the company, said demand from customers under investments in comparison with the previous year was driven IT catching-up process. "While the macro-economic environment to remain uncertain, there is greater reliance on the micro level," he said.
The announcement follows the recent results of Tata Consultancy services, sales of 2 billion $ in the three months to 30 September, an increase of 30% year-on-year zeigte.HCL appeared also growth of 804 million $, up 27% compared to the same period a year ago.
